When producing thin-layer solar cells diverse gases are employed. The efficient and compact DAS gas abatement technology combines burn/wet technologies in the smallest of spaces. In addition, the waste water from the production of silicon-based solar cells usually caustic potash solution with dissolved fluoride-ions as well as silicon-dioxide SiO2 in the form of small particles which can also be treated with DAS wastewater treatment systems.
Processes like precipitation, coagulation and neutralization treat the polluted process wastewater adequately. Solids are separated and disposed in respective waste sites. The remaining water can be directly discharged into the local sewage system without any further treatment. If desired DAS also delivers systems for production supply with softened as well as ultra-pure water.
