enaDyne receives DAS Special Reward for Sustainability
Sustainability meets Innovation — enaDyne GmbH receives DAS Special Award
The 48th ak-adp workshop on April 9–10, 2025 in Chemnitz, organized by Innovent Jena, focused on the topic of ‘Intelligently combining atmospheric plasmas in complex processes — innovative technologies for practical applications’.
One highlight of the event was the ZukunftADP competition, which honoured pioneering ideas with high application potential. The DAS Special Award for Sustainability went to six members of the start-up enaDyne GmbH for its pioneering project ‘Modelling and simulation in non-thermal plasma catalysis’! In his laudatory speech, Olaf Schütze, Director R&D Global at DAS, emphasised: “enaDyne’s innovative solution for plasma catalysis can make a significant long-term contribution to the reduction of climate-damaging gases.”
Particularly impressive: the conversion of CO₂ and methane (CH₄) into valuable products such as synthesis gas or chemical base materials — a real milestone for environmental technology, for example in the semiconductor industry. The underlying technology, non-thermal plasma catalysis (NTPK), enables energy-efficient chemical processes at low temperatures while reducing energy consumption and unwanted by-products.
