Professional exchange, new perspectives, and concrete solutions: At the 3rd Dresden Industrial Water Day, DAS Environmental Experts brought together experts from industry and the water sector to discuss current challenges and approaches to sustainable industrial water management.
Technical Discussion on the Future of Industrial Water
On September 8, 2026, DAS Environmental Experts in Dresden hosted the Industrial Water Day Dresden for the third time. Together with our partner Endress+Hauser, we brought together experts from industry, plant engineering, technology, and water management to discuss current challenges and potential solutions in industrial water management.
In addition to sharing expert knowledge, the event focused on direct exchange between companies and experts. Diverse perspectives and specific practical questions highlighted just how varied the requirements are for sustainable yet economically viable water management in industry.
Five external speakers, different perspectives
For the first time, five external speakers contributed to the program of the Industrial Water Day. They were:

Together with presentations from DAS Environmental Experts and Endress+Hauser, they provided insights into current developments, technologies, and practical experiences related to industrial water and wastewater treatment.
One theme ran through many of the presentations and discussions: sustainability, availability, and the efficient use of water must increasingly be considered together.
Water as a Competitive Advantage
Reliable wastewater treatment remains a key foundation in this context. At the same time, there is a growing focus on reducing fresh water consumption and increasing the rate of water reuse. Especially given limited resources and rising demands, intelligent water management thus also represents a competitive advantage for industrial companies.
From the Presentation to the Discussion
Following the technical presentations, in-depth discussions took place in five thematic roundtables. Participants were able to share their own experiences and questions, discuss different approaches to solutions, and exchange ideas directly with colleagues from various industries.
It is precisely this mix of expert presentations, discussions, and networking that defines the Industrial Water Day. After all, requirements vary significantly depending on the industry, location, and production process. Accordingly, there is rarely a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to water management.
An Exchange That Continues
We would like to thank all the speakers, participants, and partners who enriched the 3rd Dresden Industrial Water Day with their experiences, questions, and perspectives.
This intensive exchange has once again demonstrated how valuable it is to bring together different stakeholders and perspectives. Many of the challenges in industrial water management cannot be solved in isolation—which makes platforms for knowledge transfer, practical experience, and new ideas all the more important.
We look forward to continuing this exchange at the Industrial Water Day Dresden 2027.
