DIGITAL START OF THE STATE COMPETITIONS — Company DAS as sponsor of Jugend forscht 2021

Despite the Corona pandemic, Jugend forscht is starting a new round under the motto “Lass Zukunft da! With the project ideas in the Jugend forscht and Schüler experimentieren competitions, many young people are making an important contribution to solve social problems. DAS is now in its fourth year of promoting the enthusiasm, talent, and passion for scientific projects and subject areas. DAS is again a sponsor company of Jugend forscht.

The world needs good ideas. Ideas that positively develop our society, everywhere in the world. As an environmental technology company, we are committed to this. Given the many current problems such as climate change and the scarcity of resources, it is particularly important right now to work together with younger generations to promote the sustainable and environmentally compatible development of our planet.

The Saxon state competitions “Jugend forscht” and “Schüler experimentieren” have been taking place for 30 years now and award the most talented young researchers of Saxony. Due to the COVID-19 topic, the state competition will take place digitally for the first time on 27.03.2021!

State competition digital for the first time

Across Germany, almost 9,000 young researchers have registered for the new round of the competition despite the difficult general conditions. This success is based on the work of a strong and unique Jugend forscht network, which also includes the sponsoring companies of the individual competitions. Thanks to their tireless efforts, it is possible to achieve the common goal even under extraordinary circumstances: to get young people excited about mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology and to promote talent.

For this reason, we are therefore very pleased that the state competition in Dresden will not be canceled this year, but will take place digitally! With a varied and interactive supporting program, we enable the students to appreciate their ideas. All participants of the three Saxon regional competitions were asked to film themselves presenting their projects and exhibits. During the official jury interviews, they explain their ideas and the procedures and results of their work with all their persuasive power.
